Director of Production & Sourcing

We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Production to join a renowned premium brand and lead the production efforts to new heights.

The Director of Production will play a pivotal role in overseeing the entire production lifecycle, from sourcing materials to delivering finished products. This role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of production processes, supply chain management, and vendor relationships. The successful candidate will ensure that the products are manufactured efficiently, meet the highest quality standards, and are delivered on time.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the production team to achieve production goals and meet quality standards.
• Develop and implement production strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
• Oversee the production schedule to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Identify and establish relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and pricing.
• Ensure a reliable supply of high-quality materials to meet production demands.
• Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure products meet premium brand standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of production facilities and materials.
• Address and resolve any quality issues promptly.
• Develop and manage the production and sourcing budget.
• Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
• Work closely with design, product development, buying, and sales teams to align production with market demand.
• Collaborate with logistics and distribution teams to ensure smooth product delivery.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience (10+ years) in production management and sourcing, preferably within the premium brand or luxury goods sector.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and quality control.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
