PRODUCTION MANAGER - KNIT&JERSEY

Our client, a well-known luxury firm, is seeking a highly skilled Production Manager specialised in Knitwear & Jersey to join their exceptional team.

This role demands a high level of technical expertise, strong leadership, and a passion for producing impeccable luxury garments. The successful candidate will ensure that all production processes meet the brand’s rigorous standards of quality, craftsmanship, and luxury.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the production process for knitwear and jersey collections, ensuring that each garment reflects the brand’s unwavering commitment to craftsmanship and luxury.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, effective relationships with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely and high-quality production.
  • Establish and enforce strict quality control processes to ensure that all products meet the highest standards in terms of fabric quality, fit, and finishing.
  • Oversee production schedules and budgets, ensuring timely delivery of collections while maintaining the highest levels of quality within budget.
  • Provide expert guidance on knitwear and jersey production, from fabric selection to knitting techniques, ensuring flawless execution of designs.
  • Work closely with the design, product development, and quality control teams to ensure alignment and smooth communication throughout the production process.
  • Proactively identify and address any production challenges, whether related to materials, delays, or technical issues, ensuring a seamless production flow.
  • Provide regular, detailed reports to the Head of Production on the progress of ongoing projects, highlighting potential risks or delays.


Qualifications
:

  • At least 5-7 years of experience in production management, specializing in knitwear and jersey, preferably in a luxury fashion environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of knitwear and jersey production processes, including expertise in yarn types, knitting techniques, and garment construction.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and managing external production partners effectively, with an ability to motivate and inspire.
  • A meticulous approach to ensuring that every garment meets the highest standards of luxury and quality.
  • Fluency in both Italian and English is a must.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and ensure clarity across internal teams and external partners.
  • A deep passion for luxury fashion, with a strong understanding of the brand’s aesthetic and a commitment to excellence in every aspect of production.
