Financial Director

We are seeking an experienced Financial Director to join the leadership team of a distinguished luxury fashion and lifestyle brand, headquartered in Milan. This pivotal role will involve developing and executing a long-term financial strategy to support the company’s expansion, particularly within its premium homewear collections and its growing direct-to-consumer (DTC) model. The Financial Director will collaborate closely with the logistics and supply chain teams to optimize financial performance, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic financial plans to drive the company’s long-term growth, with a focus on enhancing profitability and expanding its online and retail presence.
• Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure efficient financial operations and cost management.
• Oversee the preparation of financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and ensure effective financial controls.
• Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the Founder and senior leadership team to guide business decisions and improve financial performance.
• Lead and manage a large, dynamic finance team, providing direction, mentorship, and ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, providing them with clear financial reports and insights to maintain confidence in the company’s financial health.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance and key metrics, driving continuous improvement in business operations and financial outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and financial best practices.
• Enhance financial systems, processes, and tools to support operational efficiency and business growth.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Financial Director or in a senior finance role within a luxury fashion or DTC-oriented company.
• Strong expertise in financial planning, analysis, and forecasting.
• Significant experience managing a large finance team in a global, high-growth business environment.
• Deep understanding of supply chain and logistics financials, particularly in a luxury setting.
• Exceptional communication skills, with proven experience in presenting to and liaising with investors.
• A strategic thinker with the ability to combine big-picture vision with hands-on financial management.
• Strong leadership and people-management capabilities in a fast-paced, premium brand environment.
• Fluency in English is essential, with knowledge of Italian being an added advantage.
