Senior Footwear Designer

Reporting directly to the VP of Design, and collaborating closely with the Creative Director, the Senior Footwear Designer will be responsible for developing the men's and women's footwear collection, embodying the brand's vision of luxury, sophistication, and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of the men's and women's footwear collections, ensuring alignment with the brand's aesthetic and market positioning.
• Research and analyze market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor offerings to inform design decisions and maintain relevance in the luxury fashion landscape.
• Collaborate closely with the Creative Director and cross-functional teams to translate design concepts into viable products, considering technical feasibility, materials, and production processes.
• Create sketches, renderings, and prototypes to communicate design concepts effectively, incorporating feedback from stakeholders to refine designs.
• Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from initial concept to final production, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, and budget constraints.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, materials, and techniques relevant to footwear design, continuously seeking opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the design team, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Footwear Design, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a footwear designer within the luxury fashion industry, with a strong portfolio showcasing original designs and successful product launches.
• In-depth knowledge of footwear construction, materials, and manufacturing processes, with a keen eye for detail and craftsmanship.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and 3D modeling tools
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively articulate design concepts and work cross-functionally with diverse teams.
• Strong aesthetic sensibility, trend forecasting abilities, and a passion for luxury fashion and footwear.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, demonstrating flexibility, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
