Head of Product Design AI

Beyond Talent is partnering with one of the world's most innovative and renowned luxury fashion companies to appoint a Head of Product Design – AI.

This highly strategic position sits at the intersection of luxury fashion, product design and Generative AI, offering an exceptional opportunity to help shape how artificial intelligence is integrated into the creative development of future fashion collections.

Working closely with the VP of Design and partnering with the wider Design and Product teams, the Head of Product Design – AI will use advanced AI design and generative technologies to develop new creative concepts, product ideas and visual directions across Menswear, Womenswear, Ready-to-Wear, Accessories and Footwear.

The Opportunity

Artificial Intelligence is rapidly transforming the way creative ideas can be explored, visualised and developed within fashion.

For this newly created role, our client is looking for an exceptional individual capable of combining a sophisticated understanding of fashion and product design with advanced expertise in Generative AI.

The successful candidate will work with a high degree of independence, developing AI-generated concepts and translating the creative vision of the brand into innovative products and new collection ideas.

This is not simply a technology position. It requires an individual with a strong fashion sensibility, product understanding and creative point of view, capable of using AI as a powerful extension of the design process.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop innovative product and collection concepts using Generative AI and advanced AI design tools.
• Generate creative ideas across Menswear and Womenswear, covering multiple Ready-to-Wear categories.
• Develop concepts across Accessories and Footwear, ensuring a coherent creative vision across product categories.
• Translate creative direction into sophisticated AI-generated product concepts, silhouettes, materials, colours and visual propositions.
• Work closely with the VP of Design, Design teams and Product teams while operating with a high level of independence.
• Explore new creative possibilities through emerging AI technologies and digital design platforms.
• Build and refine AI workflows capable of supporting and accelerating the fashion design and product-development process.
• Research new developments in Generative AI, creative technology and AI-assisted fashion design.
• Experiment with new ways of generating concepts, visualising collections and developing future product ideas.
• Present innovative design concepts and creative proposals to senior design leadership.
• Act as an internal specialist and point of reference for the application of Artificial Intelligence within fashion design.

The Profile

We are looking for a highly creative and forward-thinking professional who understands both the culture of luxury fashion design and the rapidly evolving possibilities offered by Artificial Intelligence.

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Significant experience within fashion design, luxury fashion, product design, creative technology or a related creative environment.
• Advanced knowledge of Generative AI and AI-powered creative tools.
• Demonstrable experience using AI for design ideation, image generation, visual development or product creation.
• A sophisticated visual sensibility appropriate for the luxury market.
• Strong understanding of silhouettes, materials, colour, garments and product development.
• Knowledge across multiple fashion categories rather than one highly specialised product area.
• Understanding of both Menswear and Womenswear.
• Exposure to Footwear and Accessories would be highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of emerging AI platforms and developments within creative technology.
• The ability to combine experimentation and innovation with commercially relevant product ideas.
• A highly independent, entrepreneurial and curious approach.
• The confidence to collaborate with and present ideas to senior creative leaders.
