Senior LTG Designer – Mens Bags

Beyond Talent is partnering with a well-known luxury fashion house to appoint a Senior LTG Designer – Mens Bags, with an exclusive luxury background. The role sits within the Menswear division and will lead the end-to-end design and development of bags for men’s pre- and show collections.

You will own the category, manage a small team, and work with a high level of creative independence while remaining aligned to the brand’s overall vision.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the creative vision for men’s bags across pre- and show collections, in line with brand identity and menswear RTW.
• Build and structure the seasonal bags offer (iconic carry-overs, new shapes, capsules, special projects).
• Lead research, moodboards, and concept definition (archives, competitors, trend, material innovation).
• Create sketches, 2D renderings and 3D proposals for all bags, ensuring coherence of line, proportion, and silhouette.
• Translate concepts into detailed technical drawings/spec sheets for development.
• Select and develop leathers, materials, hardware and finishes specific to men’s luxury bags.
• Partner closely with atelier, product development, industrialisation and suppliers to ensure feasibility and product excellence.
• Oversee prototypes, fittings, and corrections, guaranteeing luxury standards of construction, functionality, and comfort.
• Ensure a strong balance between creative innovation, brand codes and commercial relevance.
• Manage and mentor a dedicated design team (designers, interns, assistants) for men’s bags.
• Organise workload, collection timing, priorities and deliverables across pre and show.
• Collaborate daily with Merchandising, Product Development, Atelier, Marketing and Retail to ensure alignment on brief, pricing, positioning and launch.
• Present collections and concepts to senior leadership and Creative Direction, articulating rationale and vision.

Background

• Minimum +6 years’ experience in luxury leather goods design, with a strong focus on bags.
• Experience exclusively within luxury maisons
• Solid track record in Menswear, ideally within a men’s bags department or unisex bags with a strong men’s component.
